Traditional
Techniques,
Timeless Results

Every house portrait is created by hand — no digital shortcuts, no AI filters — just a dip pen, India ink, and years of artistic experience. This isn’t just a drawing; it’s a lasting keepsake designed to capture the spirit of your home in fine detail.

A Work of Art for Your Walls

Your portrait is delivered as an original hand-drawn piece, ready for framing or gifting. It’s perfect for birthdays, holidays, weddings, anniversaries, retirements, or simply celebrating the place you call home.

  • The Process

Each piece begins with a pencil sketch on high-quality illustration board, using your photos as a guide. Once approved, the artwork is brought to life using a classic crow quill pen and waterproof ink, building layers of linework, shading, and character. The result? A portrait that’s full of personality, depth, and charm.

  • Custom Touches

No two portraits are the same. Whether you’d like seasonal elements, pets in the window, or even a special tree or garden preserved forever in ink—I’m happy to include those personal details that make it truly yours.

  • Cost & Size

Each portrait is priced based on the detail of the home, building, and landscape. Whether it's a grand estate or a modest home, every piece is crafted with equal care and artistic attention. Adjustments to size and detail can be made to suit budget and vision. From intricate textures to simple charm, every structure is treated as gallery-worthy.

  • Framing Options

Stock frames in textured black are available in 10 x 8, fitting a 9 x 7 portrait. For larger or non-standard sizes, custom framing is recommended to preserve the artwork’s detail and complement your space.

About the Artist

Mike Biegel

Mike Biegel has been illustrating with a traditional crow-quill pen since the early 1980s. Over time, his creative path led him to Vermont, where the landscapes and changing seasons naturally aligned with his favorite subjects to draw.

After meeting his fiancée, Lori, in ski country, life took on a new rhythm. The two now split their time between the beaches of Long Island and the Green Mountains of Vermont—offering plenty of scenic inspiration and reference material along the way, especially throughout NY, CT, MA, NH, and VT.

They’re currently exploring New Hampshire as the future home base for Mike’s next studio chapter.
